Punching Out Parkinson’s Santa Fe is in Phase II of our huge expansion from a wellness gym to a wellness community center for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Since 2018, POP Santa Fe’s nonprofit mission has been to empower individuals living with Parkinson’s disease through exercise, education, and community support. Our 2100 sq ft gym has reached its capacity, and now we need your help to grow us from a wellness gym to a wellness community center for people with this incurable disease.
Phase I: In 2025 we added an additional 5,200 sq ft to our space thanks to generous support from our board and donors. We bought the space next door, obtained permits, designed architectural plans, did demolition and engineering, and now we’re starting work with a great contractor.
We Bought the Space, Now Help Us Build the Dream!
Phase II: We’re bringing the building to life! The space will be renovated to fit our specifications for anyone associated with Parkinson's who walks through our door. This includes a Community Room for support meetings and educational events. We’ll upgrade our equipment, adding a track and harness gait system for fall prevention. We’re expanding areas for stretching, balance work, and brain fitness. We are asking for your support to help us build the gym that our Parkinson’s community deserves.
Our vision is to become a leading center for Parkinson’s fitness, community and empowerment by mid-2027, but we can’t get there alone! We’ve begun a $500,000 matching campaign with the goal of reaching $1,000,000 to fulfill our vision.
We have once again been blessed by an anonymous donor who shares the vision of POP Santa Fe and understands the growing need. They have pledged $500,000, half of the funds needed to complete and equip the project, if POP can raise the funds by December 31st of this year.
